Equipping students for a healthy, safe, and drug-free future

The Mission of the I CARE Program, owned jointly by the East Baton Rouge Parish School System and the Baton Rouge community, is to provide primary, secondary and tertiary prevention education in the areas of alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, and violence, and to provide crisis response and management to all students which will equip them to face the future in a healthy, safe and drug-free manner.

I CARE Goal

The Goal of the I CARE Program is to provide comprehensive and age-appropriate, developmentally based tobacco, alcohol, and other drug abuse and violence prevention education programs for students Pre-K-12 in all public and participating non-public schools in East Baton Rouge Parish.  Our accomplishments to date include: 10% reduction in alcohol first time use.
